Improvement:
We've automated our account recycling policy. There's little reason to hold onto personal data in old/dormant Timetastic accounts, both from a data protection point of view and the unnecessary use of server space and power.
Timetastic accounts that go inactive for over 18 months will be flagged for recycling and warnings sent by email.
Fix:
Fixed the display of what time your next burnout snapshot is due to be sent out

We've got a few fixes and updates going out today. Here's the details:
Email summaries
They now know about daylight savings, so when you set your time to 9am, it'll actually be delivered at 9am all of the time 🙌 not just when the timezones align!
In addition we've made the "who is absent" lookup timezone aware too, so you should get better results if you're offset from UTC by a fair bit...🦘
Google Workspace
Our sync engine has been robustified to handle Google's updates better. The end result is you should see more reliable user syncing and quicker updates in Timetastic.
Other updates
When cancelling leave we weren't always notifying the person and their boss. That's fixed now, so we notify correctly in this situation.
The settings page had some nips and tucks to styling here and there
Today we're really happy to share something we've been working on for months. Our new and improved settings section.
In short it's cleaner, more accessible, easier to navigate and just makes more sense than the old "grid of doom" that forced you to navigate back and forward.
New additions
- Destructive actions like account cancellation and changing leave year are now handled in the Danger Zone (Top Gun soundtrack optional ✈️)
- Public holidays now show you the number of users assigned to a location and the number of days in this calendar year for that location
- The API docs have moved to Integrations

We've got an entirely new Timetastic mobile app in the final stages of development and need some beta testers, some people keen to see the shiny new app and feedback any issues or problems.
This isn't some minor enhancement to the existing app, this is 100% new. New design, new screens, it's even got dark mode! 👏

Thanks to some diligent investigation and a perfectly worded support ticket 👍 we identified an issue 🐛 where in some circumstances a user would lose their approver if they then updated their profile. 🙁
In normal Timetastic fashion we robustified the code around user updates, improved our test coverage and have just pushed the fix out.
- We've made the current year/year end clearer on the calendar page to reduce some confusion
- Entering a login code super fast could sometimes trip things up and skip over some numbers. That's sorted now 👍
- Some small improvements around group bookings and the mobile experience
Ever look at the Wallchart and think? What is pink? Is that Annual leave or Sickness?
Well, wonder no more - you can now assign an icon for each different type of leave, and your calendar comes to life :)
You can choose which icons to use in SETTINGS > LEAVE TYPES:
They'll appear on your Calendar, on the Wallchart and on the summary in your calendar, like so...

We've fixed an issue with the annual summary reports where in rare circumstances your users would show as having booked nothing of a certain leave type off - when in fact they had.
We promise the next updates will be more exciting.......
"My preferences" and "Sign in & security" have joined forces under our new, much clearer Preferences menu:
Now you can change your email notification settings, password, set up 2FA or see your sign ins all from the same place. Much clearer, much easier to scan through and hopefully you'll agree, much easier to use.
Other updates:
- We've also cleaned up an edge case permissions issue where some updates on users wouldn't save properly
- We've opted out of Google's controversial FLoC experiment on our website (see: https://plausible.io/blog/google-floc#what-is-federated-learning-of-cohorts-floc).
We've moved "What's new" to the footer since it didn't need to be in the top level menu.
