We've seen a few issues around Google Workspace disconnecting and all of your users being suddenly charged for. We've pushed some improvements out to reduce the chances of this happening and also give you more warning when it does: 

1) If we lose connection with one of your Admin users (say they're archived or lose permissions in Workspace) we'll try and continue the sync with another user we have permissions with, automatically with no input from you. If we find another user, they'll become the new impersonation user (we log this on your Timetastic Audit log so you can see when it happened)

2) If we still can't find another user to sync at that point or the sync continues to fail we'll send your Timetastic Account owner(s) an email letting them know and you'll get a 7 day grace period to resolve the connection issue. If we still can't sync after that, we'll disconnect Workspace and start charging for your archived users.

Sorry to anyone that's been affected by this but hopefully the changes above will help reduce it happening and stop the billing shock when it does disconnect.

We've addressed some issues with Outlook calendar syncs disconnecting and not updating bookings correctly - there's ongoing work behind the scenes on this which will be rolling out in the next couple of weeks which should make Outlook calendar syncs much better 🗓️

Also, a fix/improvement to the insights Annual trend graph:

Bookings spanning multiple months (maternity/paternity, sabbaticals, long term sickness for example) now show up in all of those months 🙌 and we're weighting bookings better so 8 bookings of 15mins doesn't show up as strongly as 8 users booking a week off.

Just a small update to fix an issue where our full day events in Office365 weren't aware of the organisation's timezone so bled into the next/previous day if you were viewing another user's calendar in a different timezone. It's a bit niche but it matters!

This fix will only affect new bookings after this release.

We've just pushed out a couple of fixes:

A fix for the wallchart filter which we had reported. Users who are approvers of people in other departments can now see those users on the wallchart. (regardless of privacy settings, as they're approvers).

Changing price plans (Business to Pro or back again) now reflects in your audit log.

Hot on the heels of monthly reporting, today we've sorted an issue where times for half days were incorrect in the absences API endpoint. 

We've also rolled up a fix to the "What's new" widget in the footer so it works now.

You'll notice we've renamed and moved some columns in the reports on the Leave sheets - apologies if this breaks your macros/integrations but it's for good reason, we promise.

We've collected up some bugfixes around allowances being recalculated wrongly if they finish at midnight and some speed improvements to reporting and allowance calculations.

After many years our old datepicker has been retired 🫡 in favour of a more accessible and easier to use picker with better screen reader support.

This resolves the long standing issue we had for Firefox users where the dropdowns for years wouldn't work. 🥳

 We've also fixed some edge case bugs in and around attachments.

No big features this month but here's a roundup of our bugfixes and improvements:

- Fixed an issue where if you created a new user with a pro-rata allowance you weren't taken into their details to continue setting them up 📅 

- On rare occasions, the copy invoice was not sent out, this has now been fixed 📨 

- Improved the copy where there is no approver ✅

No big features this month but here's a roundup of our bugfixes and improvements:

- Fixed an issue where if you deleted an approver, any bookings they approved wouldn't be in reports 📊

- Fixed an edge case where if you updated many users at a time, you'd come up against a rate limit, stopping you editing more. 🏃‍♀️

- Inviting users now knows the difference between you re-sending them an invite and sending the first invite 📨

- Fixed a really rare edge case (4 times since 2014!) where it was possible to restore an admin user without an email address 🛑

- Fixed loads of text overflow, line clamping and truncation issues throughout the web app 📝

- Fixed the department boss name not updating when editing a user and changing their department 🐛

Hopefully more exciting updates coming soon.

We've had a number of small updates go out recently, none merited their own update but here's what's recently changed:

- We've got new menu designs! 🖌️

- Slack posts have been updated to use Slack's new layout technology which should mean better message formatting - especially for those on mobile. ✨

- We fixed an issue where you could create an "empty" leave type which caused other issues down the line. 🐛

- Thanks to a report from the security community we've updated our rate limits and put more protections in place for people overwhelming our email services. Thanks to @Jayalak54621465 for getting in touch. 👍
